Trainer conferences
Each year,UCAPE members are invited to gather for a 1.5-day or
2.5-day trainers’ conference, depending on the chosen venue. Between 60 and 80 adults (school principals, vice principals or administrators,
teachers) regularly participate in these conferences.
The Trainer Conferences generally provide an opportunity to take time for reflection with a
guest speaker (academic, European elected official, specialist in European issues, etc.).
Workshops allow for small-group discussions on UCAPE’s educational project and
the sharing of practices within schools. These workshops also help generate new
proposals to invigorate our European outreach efforts targeting young people within the
schools in the network.
One or more cultural visits round out the program; opportunities for socializing are also
highly appreciated.
Over the years, professional and friendly bonds have formed among the participants, who enjoy
reuniting and moving forward to implement new European projects and organize new
thematic events for our young people.
Study Trips
A study trip is a few days' immersion in a European school. It
is intended for a small group of adults. Visits and discussions with the management
and staff provide an opportunity to discover a different environment, a different organization, and
different educational approaches. The way in which young people participate in the life and projects of
the school, the layout of the spaces dedicated to young people, and the equipment made available to them
are also particularly interesting to observe.
